  5. How do you bring in traffic?

Ask 99% of small time webmasters and they’ll tell you the same story – PPC! Google Adwords, in other (ad)words.

I have used Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and (lately) Bidvertiser. 95% of my traffic comes from these sources – other traffic comes from forums and classified posts. You don’t need to stick to these guidelines. Just know that it works. I have to resort to PPC usually because I run so many websites and I’m always working on designing new ones. (I love design, but not so much marketing – so what I do is usually create a site, play with it, optimize it, and move on – I’m kind of like a house-flipper in a sense).

Back to business – anecdotally, I can say with reasonable accuracy that conversion rates for this site hover around 5-10%. Why is this important? It tells you how much you can pay per click and still make money. Assuming a purchase rate range of 5-10% and an average post-fee receipt of 19.05, you can afford to spend roughly between $0.95 and $1.90 PER CLICK and still make a profit.

Obviously you don’t want to operate this borderline. I never bid more than $0.45 per click and I always look for other ways to advertise, even alternative PPC marketing sites. If you stay under $0.40 per click you’re pretty much assured to profit.

Remember too, I have only done PPC marketing (95%). If you have the time to dedicate to marketing this site, you can probably start getting free traffic or boosting your conversion rates, giving you more $$ to spend on advertising – or cookies or bikes or whatever you want, I guess. 6. Pay Per Play says:

The newest form of advertising called Pay Per Play that allows websites to earn revenue from every visitor to their site and they don’t even have to click on any ads. The audio ads play automatically when visitors enter a page on the site that has the code. They are 5 second audio advertisements from major corporations that bid for their ad to be played. http://www.Audioppp.com is where you can sign up and all sites are accepted. The bidding starts in February 2008 and they are looking to get as many websites in their network as possible. This is destined to be as big as or bigger than Google’s AdSense program. Time will tell.

    Aint Technology Wonderful!

Most of us have some sort of cable television and internet service and have seen rates rise rapidly in recent years. More often than not cable companies have a monopoly in the areas they serve. A quick glance at just about any cable bill will reveal vague fees and charges above and beyond the basic service provided. If you’re tired of ever increasing cable bills and have an internet connection there is a solution.
http://www.networktv.us is offering software that will allow users to access television stations worldwide, a massive library of movies (the site says over 80 million), and over 90 million songs in MP3 format ready for immediate, legal download. What makes this software so intriguing is the one time charge for the software and no monthly fees of charges. With the advent of big screen monitors many people already do most of their TV watching on their PC’s. The internet is the future of television and in the near future will become the primary media worldwide.
When most cable users want to watch a specific movie there is usually a charge well above what a video rental store would charge. With the software being offered by Networktv.us users may download over 80 million movies or burn them to disks legally. Users may also download songs and choose from a library of over 90 million songs.
The average cable bill nationally is $60 or more. Nationaltv.us is offering their software at an introductory price of $14.95. Even at the regular price of $79.95 users of this software could save a considerable amount of money over time. Unlike cable it’s a one time fee with no monthly bills, hidden charges, or dishes to install. Another very interesting feature of this software is the ability to watch television worldwide. The internet has made it possible for users to watch programs from just about any country in the world.
The internet is the future of television and this is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor at a very reasonable price.

Much has been discussed about Identity Theft, user ID’s and Passwords stolen or hacked, credit cards being used without the owners knowledge and so on. Now there is a safe way of protecting your passwords and identity online from being copied, stolen and hacked by keyboard trojans, using your biometric fingerprint and face recognition, and even voice, to log on to web sites. By simply scanning your finger or face or voice you can log on to a web site, log on to your computer, and even encrypt files and folders. No more worrying about who might hack into your online accounts or even your email. No more remembering passwords or using the same passwords on many sites. This is an exciting new innovation from myBiodentity and they have about fourteen products that are enabled with biometrics including email encryption, password manager, virtual disk, and many more.
