Since your new to ubuntu, open an Ubuntu forums account. ubuntuforums.org. Post a question and it will be answered very quickly. Also find a quick forum post that can teach you a little about the terminal.
I m using Elegant Brit , it’s a very nice and ergonomic theme.
just use google to search for ubuntu themes, i dont know any good websites to download themes but you install them via theme installer.
However, they are not usually called OSX or leopard… I use the ’shadow’, ’simple’ or ‘transparent’ theme. If you enable the ‘3d look’ in options, it looks alot like the real dock in OSX.
One other thing, it is very important that you upgrade every time a new version of ubuntu is released. The latest is 8.10 and 9.04 will be released in April.
Ubuntu doesn’t lie, but it does sell itself as more a unified package than it is. You can actually even switch desktops in less then ten minutes if you have a fast computer and know what you are doing.
This for example has led to their branding their distros Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu while Debian, for example, just has Debian though you can certainly get install disks for whichever desktop you want (or not desktop if that is what you want).
These theme is really much batter.It is really nice post.Keep it up…..
