I almost made by system unbootable with the fstab changes, but after reading what you said, was able to test them and find out why they don't work. NOTE TO EVERYONE: In step 10, the "logbufs=8" option does not work on ext3 and possibly many other filesystems and may result in inability to boot! Avoid this particular option unless you're sure your FS supports it! Renegadeabe: Thanks for the warning!
